Who is Garden Witch

Hi, I’m Tasha, your friendly neighborhood Garden Witch.

I’ve had my hands in the soil since I was old enough to make a mud pie, but my true love of gardening started when I was eight years old and my family moved into the home I grew up in. My mom had 21 separate garden spaces in that yard, and I helped her with every single one. Those years gave me a deep appreciation for the rhythm of the seasons, the magic of watching something grow, and the satisfaction of making a space thrive.

Since then, I’ve earned a degree in horticulture, studied herbalism (and am continuing my certification), and never stopped learning. I’m a plant nerd through and through—if I don’t know something, I’ll research it until I do.

My design approach blends permaculture principles, native plants, and edible gardening to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical and sustainable. I love helping people discover the hidden treasures already in their yards—like wild violet, purslane, or redbud blossoms—and showing them how to make the most of what they have before adding more.

Whether you want a pollinator-friendly front yard, a backyard herbal tea garden, or a plan to grow food for your family in a small space, I’ll help you design it, understand it, and bring it to life.
